Who can repair a Crosman 2260? I removed the safety...

to put the action in a custom stock. Replaces the safety, but now the safety moves freely back and forth. Will I damage it by trying to force it out? HELP

The sear spring is part of what holds the safety in place.Use a small screwdriver or
something to hold the spring forward to allow the small part of the safety to slide behind
the spring.

did you lift the spring out when you installed the safety back in. You can push it in with the spring behind the saftey and not in front.
