Re: BB Gun?

How about a machine gun, you loose a bit of accuracy but is made up in fire power. I have both the EBOS and steel storm by uramex. Did my heart good a few days ago when checking to see if the apricots were ripe a flock of blue jays came in diving on me. Took the storm and let off a burst and one jay blew up in a cloud of feathers! After a few shots at the others they left me alone.
There is only one bb gun that was designed for accuracy, a daisy that sells for over a hundred. john

Nope! This is what he needs. One of my crazy creations...

This holds 3000 BB's, shoots up to 600fps, and shoots 50 rounds A SECOND, tripod mount:
"The majority of things in our lives are created by folks no smarter than the rest. Afterall, the world is comprised, and operated by C average people intellctually, academically, and morally. These people are often the great pioneers that set the precedent for what excellence should be."
is rifling. IMHO, you'll never get much accuracy with a smooth bore. I'd suggest you look at an inexpensive Crosman CO2 pistol. You can do a basic Custom Shop gun for around $100 - or possibly a 1377 or 1322 pumper - around $55.

I'd recommend a Crosman 760. It is a pump gun, and you can get enough power to break plastic cars and boats and the BB should not bounce back at you. 10 pumps will get you about 600 feet per second. Additionaly, if you are shooting the boats in a pond or lake, the steel BBs will not foul the water like lead pellets will. But, you can also use pellets in it for added accuracy. These guns show up on various web-sights as refurbished for just under $30. Right now, Pyramyd Air has a NEW Crosman 760 on sale for just $32 but you have to add in some shipping costs.

Nice BB m.g. Whats the PSI on the ammo can? In theory, wouldn't I get less FPS because air would pass through the rifling as opossed to a smoth bore or would the rifeling help with BB accuracy? Is there a trade off here?

Maybe a modified....

With a smoothbore bore barrel liner adapted from a Recruit and some work on the magazines you might could make up a pretty decent CO2 BB "rifle." Then you could see about valve mods if you needed more power.
A Recruit barrel liner may also work to make a 2100 into a smoothbore BB gun.
Crosman 760 smoothbore barrels could also be adapted to 2240's and 1377's.
My personal favorite BB guns are the Daisy Red Ryder and the Crosman 760 and 788.
