Dag Evert's "American Classic"

As mentioned on the forum, heres a picture I took some time back, with natural winter daylight.
A 2100, and a 1377, both guns have been recrowned, and had their trigger parts shimmed for play,
contact surfaces stoned, and trigger springs somewhat reduced within safe limits.
The 2100 has had its barrel shimmed with tape to remove play.
Both guns give great accuracy for the money if they are given good pellets!
The combination of pellets and guns in the picture represents something close to my boyhood dreams:-)

Anybody have chrony #'s for a 2240 with 24" 1760 barrel (ie 1740)? with stock internals? Only mods being steel breech and 24 inch .177 barrel. Thanks.
(already did the obligatory search, all the fps reports i was able to find were either from shorter barrels or from modded-to-the-teeth, weighs-half-as-much-as-a-normal-valve-due-to-certain-areas-being-ground-off-valves or a combo of the two)

1740/1760

I found this thread...

http://www.network54.com/Forum/275684/thread/1223862694/Just+ordered+a+2400KT+w+-177+24+inch+barell+and+long+steel+breech

One guy says his stock 2260 with a 1760 barrel is shooting about 650 fps. The 2240 and the 2260 have the same valve and both run off one 12 gram, so the pwerplants are basically the same.

I plink, therefore I am.
