2200 Magnum with untapped potential, literally......

I picked up a 2200 Magnum receiver case off EBay. After a quick cleaning I inspected the mounting threads to ensure non were stripped. To my surprise and amazement all 3 have never been tapped. This is an unused receiver, a virgin, if you will. I have the rest of the parts to complete the receiver section including the tapered barrel shroud so this is another project for this winter. Possibly an MF-2200 Magnum, AKA "The Double Magnum". Do you feel lucky?

The first three digits of the SN are 86A so I think it is an 86? The tapered shroud was used from 78-83 and then they used a short tapered section that transitioned to a straight shroud. Later guns got the straight shroud same as the 2100. Either way the full tapered shroud will install on this gun and I like the looks better than the other two options.
