4b3 Crashing on XP box

Got stuff crashing... Whenever I hit the "Connect" button, it does that.

here's the MS Debuf info...

Unhandled exception at 0x77f52216 in attac.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0xfffffff8.

any ideas?

delete the game and recreate it. probably a corrupted game file hence the crash.
what is the size of the file?
does it work now?

i did that..

and it still crashes. i've never actually gotten into the game with it.

the file size is 1,014kb

send me an email... and i will give you an alternate address for you to mail me that game file to since it is too large for my primary address.
what is the game name and address you are using.

ok. i fixed it. the fix will be in BETA 4.
basically, the extra negotiations with the BBS was crashing it.
to circumvent this till BETA 4... connect to a local telnet server then use that to connect the game.

i get this when i connect to a standard linux telnet server. so uh... any more ideas?

We're looking at sometime next week. earth has everything he want's in this release done, but I'd like to be a bubble finder in this release so people can test it out before it comes close to the final release.
