I keep getting a "reset by peer" message as soon as I get into a game, no more than a couple min, then every thing stops.

That is odd.
Are you sure your connection is stable? Maybe someone on the other side is actually resetting your connection.
Does attac close after this message? I am away and will look into it further Monday when i return.

i think that its a connection problem also, at least the pattern now seems to point to timeouts and not the game.
