I don't have a TWGS running on my computer. I verified with the server admin that his server is up and others could connect and play. I have a firewall, which I've configured to allow all for ATTAC, and I've specified the port my server admin gave me in the router settings, so I don't believe the problem is there.
While ATTAC was running (ZTM if that helps) my computer stopped responding and I had to power cycle without shutting down through windows. It was after this that I started being unable to connect.
Any help anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated.
Hmm. if you shut down while attac was running since the computer stopped responding, it is possible that the data file was corrupted. You can do 1 of 2 things. Delete the gameName.atc file where gameName is the name of the file. Attac will automatically restore the file from backup when it starts up and will hopefully work. Otherwise, if that that doesnt work, delete and recreate the game. If that doesnt work, make sure that you can reach your server via windows telnet. Click Start then Run, then type "telnet serveraddress port" where serveraddress is the server's address and port is the port of the server. dont use quotes.
One note, deleting and recreating a game loses all the data, so if you can start attac, and then connect to the game, after it fails, export your data to TWX v2 format so you can import it into the new game you create.
