When i was in Bosnia a grenade hit one of our patrol tanks, the guy that had his head out of the hatch had half of his face blown of from the schrapnel, thats the worst injury i saw on a fellow soldier. Seen a lot worse on the civilian population.

I saw a man commit suicide in the barracks, with a shotgun to the face.
I visited a friend who had his jawbone blown away.

theres an immage of a young man who lost his eye in Iraq, this guy was my first roomate in the barracks.

and I heard about a Guy in the motorpool who got pinned between a Building and a M88.

Some poor kid from another battery dropped a grenade inside the "shelter" during basic, and blew himself to high hell.

I don't even know why I am posting this $hit. Get alittle vodka in me, and I say stuff...

Seen worse in the "civilian" world though.

The worst non fatal injury I saw was someone whose stomach had been torn open by shrapnel. His intestines were in his lap. As horrific as it looked it was a fairly clean wound though as I understand it. The damage was only to his skin and he recovered fully.

Like you I've also seen worse among civilians and wounded insurgents.

The American Marine Division has the highest combat effectiveness in the American armed forces. It seems not enough for our four divisions to surround and annihilate its two regiments.
