a lot of canadians are like that too before they go on a tour. Of course when they came back they have a completely diffrent attitude.

The same can be said about most nations. Everyone goes overseas ready to "kill"... but once they see the reality of it all, they do what they can to survive, and getting that "kill" becomes a "secondary objective"

Hello, i am from ireland, and ive just joined the reserves, and i plan on doing a cadetship for the army. I was wandering, and since i have the opertunity, if i could ask you a question. You see, i watch the goings on of iraq on the TV, and obviously, it dosent look so bad because they dont allow certain footage t be viewed. I know this might sound a bit simple, and a sorta irrelvent question, but is there actualy much fighting in iraq??? like, is it large scale stuff, little skirmishs, ya know?? our would it be like vietnam?? because the view i get from looking at the Tv, is a war with not alot of major fighting. Sorry if my question sounds stupid, but who else could give me a better answer. I understand alot of people have died, but is the fighting constant, our what??
