Soldiers

I wonder if this goes for Soldiers from other countries (I'm fairly certain it does).

This is posted at our Staff Duty desk because our Co CDR teared up, he said, when he read it. Just wanted to share and hear your comments on it!

I shall clarify this to you that - when you become a soldier, you lost yourself. It¡¦s not a good thing. It is because you just sell (or entrust) your precious soul to some human beings.

Forgive me being bitter, but I shall point out that you are a ready tool to harm. I¡¦ll explain further: You are not only selling yourself, but also, you agree assimilating the other free spirits via your superiors¡¦ orders. You sell out yourself and other innocents.

Do you want to hear what Jesus said before he was arrested by the authority? He said to Peter who was armed with a sword, saying ¡§Peter, put the sword down. Whoever lifts up a sword will perish with a sword.¡¨

Maybe you are Jewish. Do you know Old Testament well? The LORD God created this world to be vegetarian. So killing each other wasn¡¦t allowed. In fact, it is never allowed any time. If you want to ask me why God called up an army, I shall tell you it was for a show. Anyway, I am too much away from the topic now. So I leave you with one word here - to kill or make alive is God¡¦s business.

Army Creed is not army. It is the instructions in every aspect of civilian life. Be kind, be loyal etc are pretty much fulfilling everyday business. It¡¦s ordinary if you know what I mean. Wake up before sun rises, then repeating it loudly doesn¡¦t give you extra light over your head.

Greeting flag is a sin.

NBC NCO, soldier that hands out gas masks and decon/detection equipment, generally doesn't take part in field exercises..

Anyway, being a soldier, you don't sell your soul, you do, however, sell your body. You can disobey an illegal order, an illegal order is one that violates military law or the Geneva Conventions, but if the order is legal, you do your duty unto death.

I'm not going to try to explain values such as personal sacrifice and courage to a civilian that only learns about combat through the local news.

Operation Starlight? I am not a military buff now, so I don¡¦t track ROC military events anymore. But if you ask me on Operation Starlight, it does sound like ROC Army¡¦s Military Assistance Program for Singapore. Is it to train the Chinese ethnic soldiers from Singapore?

Yes, I am ethnic Chinese (I don¡¦t call myself Taiwanese. Taiwanese is a name for the liars (i.e. A-Ben, DDP members).) Are you ethnic Chinese, too? Your English sounds far too perfect for Chinese.

And you went to serve; how was it? I meant did you like it? What was you?

military is a unproductive entity.... should be kept to a minimum

Pakistan Airforce: The largest distributor of Indian airforce parts in Asia

Pathankot Strike
8 F-86Fs of No 19 Squadron led by Squadron Leader Sajjad Haider struck Pathankot airfield. With carefully positioned dives and selecting each individual aircraft in their protected pens for their strafing attacks, the strike elements completed a textbook operation against Pathankot. Wing Commander M G Tawab, flying one of the two Sabres as tied escorts overhead, counted 14 wrecks burning on the airfield. Among the aircraft destroyed on the ground were nearly all of the IAFs Soviet-supplied Mig-21s till then received, none of which were seen again during the War.

Soldiers obey, they do something without thinking it and that's why the US army in vietnam lossed, phsycologically they were defeated because at the end of the day, why were they there? As a soldier i guess if your fighting in another country and killing innocent people you would ask yourself at one moment, ''why'' did i kill?

The same is happening in the Iraq war in my opinion, phsycologically the Americans are losing because it is not their war! They are in Iraq for oil and many lives are taken away for an unnecessary cause.
