I think I'll apply. This place needs a little balance..

they are administrators who are a diverse lot- mehran, diunei, illaria, polizei,hadi, and landos all have views that are likely far to the left of your views while anglophile and paljoey have views similar to yours. I try to have a balance which I think makes the place more attractive for prospective members. I don't have an opening right now but I have two that are inactive here while on military leave.

 

The process works like this- someone applies and I forward the application to the administrators and they approve or dissaprove it and it must be unanimous. I do not get a vote. As soon as an opening becomes available (an opening replacing one of the rightward leaning administrators), I have no problem nominating you.

Well, I am a fair minded individual who does respec the views of others. I may not always agree, condone, or promote those views-but they can be presnt within reason. I may disagree with the poster and say so, but that will not subject them unduly to the power of a moderator. Many things may be stated in good fun or irreverance and I hope that readers will understand when this is the case. Some do not, however, this where a mod will be called upon. I do think that I'm capable of determining the differences and respectively ejudicating a problem. It may not be popular or understood, but I will execute based upon a reasoned and non-partisan basis. Thank you....

Seriously speaking, what Mike forgot to add was that if a moderator actively participates in a debate (i.e. takes a clear position on either side of a debate,) then that moderator agrees to surrender his "immunity," i.e. agrees NOT to lock or alter an "opponent's" comments in that thread.  Unless, of course, that thread were to severely degenerate into excessive family or racial insults.

P.S I dont remember at the other forum anyone with this Log In , im surprised how you know me....
