You were right to stay away from it because of Kutcher. He was terrible in this movie. I never really felt any emotion for him. I felt like I was watching him act on screen, and that's a bad thing!
What a good point about It's a Wonderful Life. I guess I was looking more at movies where the characters deliberately use some kind of device or a tangible means to travel back or forward in time. I guess IAWL never ocurred to me because I was thinking within the sci-fi genre, but that movie definitely shows the effects of changing something in the past. IAWL does a much better job of getting the point across!
