Response to everyone is insane or I am and plot hole

I have a theory that tries to explain some of the inconsistencies in the blackouts.
Some of the blackouts seem to be stress related, triggered by traumatic events. (being forced to make a dirty movie, watching a mother & baby being killed by a dynamite, watching his pet dog be burned alive). During this blackout in the main(unchanged) timeline, Evan's behavior was "normal" for a child of his age, unaffected by his timetravelling adult self.

Other blackouts seemed to happen for no reason, and involved bizarre behavior(drawing advanced but disturbing pictures in class, holding a knife in the kitchen, discussing his time travelling abilites to his father). This bizarre behavior occured also in the main timeline, yet it WAS a direct result of his timetravel.

My theory is that the second type of blackout was created "artificially" from the future, out of necessity or desparation, or whatever. Both of the non-stress related blackouts were directly related with a sort of desparate need in the future (poking his hands to simulate a sign from God, or trying to find a knife to destroy the dynamite stick that indirectly ruined his life)

It may sound contradictory to say that a future event caused a past event, and not the other way around. It's like saying, "I struck the match because it was about to catch fire." instead of, "The match caught fire because I struck it." I hope I'm explaining this
right.

I am baffled by one thing. the cigarette burn and hand wounds he got when timetravelling seemed to miraculously appear when he returned to the future. Shouldn't they have been there all along? (When he got hurt by the dynamite, his arms and legs didn't magically disappear.)
