Response to Plotholes in my lawn

I could not understant either why he had the blackouts not related with the traumatic events, and I can say that I am covered by the answer.
I have more things in my mind that are not clear. Evan's mother told him that he had two dead children before him. But when he goes back to kill himself while he was unborn he says that three children before him died.
I am also thinking did the other children (the dead ones) had a similar story? Since they all have the same father, they could inherited this "gift" and had similar fate. Now I am going I bit further than that. I believe that if there was a destiny, that would be Evan's never to live. Two things made me think that. 1st the fortune teller told him that he did not meant to existe and 2nd that things were right when he was not born. It seems that there is a scope to that, like the "life", "fate" (I do not know how to call it) wants to eliminate all persons having the "gift" to mess up the normal time evolution.
I am waiting your thoughts on these.
