Please can anyone help me locate on behalf of someone, a place to redeem or sell 7 Federal Reserve bond boxes (one opened for verification and six unopened.)scanned copies are available, and some travelling required at buyer's expense to authenticate bonds.

Would like to know:
1. the redemption price or percentage to the face value,
2. current legislation on these, and if possible,
3. an address where to contact someone capable of redeeming same. Regards.

these are either fake and part of an old far out reaching scam which has newly been twisted into a scam to raise money and defraud banks or if real need a very detailed approach.
email me at: legal@sapphirecapitalcentral.com and I take a look for free.
If you are prepared to come up with details and copies etc I may have answers for you.

Otherwise odds are at 99.99999999 that it is fake

.... of you Richard to volunteer to have these things sent to your email. You obviously have not seen the more recent reports of the fate of people caught up in handling these fake "Morganthau" Bonds / "Federal Reserve Notes". At the very least possession of these things (and copies thereof) can lead to charges of conspiracy to defraud, wire fraud and possession of fake financial instruments.

For reference the US Treasury has details and pictures of some of these fakes here:

if you read my message you see that there is no such possibility and actually I have advised on these regularly as they come up every couple of years. Like I said most are fakes and not worth anything. It is not a crime to check them out actually and since I neither offer any of these nor process them it is no risk.

The FEDs are after the one(s) that printed these fake notes. They are NOT after the unwise investors / victims. The FEDs will go after the brokers, that try to peddle these fakes and try to get other unwise investors to dump their hard earned money in exchange of a worthless note(s).

Like Richard said in his previous post: "Chances of this thing being real is, 0.0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001%"

... to remind the more professional readers here that the Authorities (and there are a lot more involved here than the so called US "FEDs") are currently cracking down on these things to the extent that anyone caught with these in their possession, victim or not, is taking one heck of a risk. It appears at long last that a decision has been taken to get this garbage off of the streets, including the 7 "boxes" out of Hong Kong that are all over the Net.

its an ongoing event and nothing new, reolves around the same sources which are moving around the world, sometimes Vietnbam  and Cambodia, even Myanmar but the people coming out with fakes are generally the same, only the brokers change.

The professionals know that and electronic possession is not a crime if you do not offer etc, there are even collectors for these, they put an ultraviolet stamp on it, I remember there is even a Fraud Museum which has some (I believe they are in Austin TX) and online I believe http://www.quatloos.com/Investment_Fraud.htm has a collection.

In Europe there are people who pay about 25 EURO for it, they frame it or use it as a gift.

The real issues are :

Are some of these bonds genuine?
Has the US ever issued some of these bonds
If forensic can determine that they have, can these bonds be redeemed?
In other words are these bonds an obligation of the US

The answers are: yes/yes/no/no

Then why bother ?

Hi Richards

You should call the Police Authorities and take it from there as if you don't, you can and will be accused of being part of a conspiracy to defraud !
This a very well known Philipine's special or a HK's gang's special to get advanced fees or something else of a different nature

For your info NO body (especially a private buyer) can authenticate these bonds ONLY an official body in the US can do it, any forensic tests conducted by universities or laboratories outside the official Channels are totally worthless

So if you try to sell or redeem these items (without having an evidence that they are genuine instruments) you are commiting a criminal offense, you can be arrested and jailed on the spot (especially in Europe)

Should you be convinced you can still redeem them (because you are a believer), why not go to the issuer or the guarantor in DC and submit your papers?

Finally the legislation ref to these papers is to be read on the UST web site, you will most certainly enjoy the semantics !
