Does anyone on the board know of any legitimate large lenders who will do short term loans against verified hard assets? Before anyone ask, banks are to slow and would not look favorably towards the transactions.

The Hedge Fund that I currently use is just about caped out with me and I would love to add some more legitimate funders but I'm having a hard time locating any.

Chad,

It would be from a larger bank. I'm not talking about the Second Regional Bank of Edward Street in Vietnam.

I know, but sometimes you still get people who try to use the Bank of Fred Smith Williams.

I might be able to point you in the right direction if Richard cannot help. I was using tax credits recently for a line of credit and the lender I was working with had mentioned his ability to fund against other forms of collateral too.

Chad that would be great. I'm really looking for a lender who will loan against different forms of collateral. There really isn't to many of them out there, if they lend against Real Estate thats it; to set in their ways.

You mentioned banks take too long to fund and you are looking for alternative financing. May I ask: What kind of time table you have?

Reknab,

Believe it or not the two Hedge Funds that I work with right now fund in 3 to 10 days.

since fast lending requires prior DD, I have looked and weighted and will pass on this, the reasons are many fold.

Collateral quality is coming at a premium these days and needs a streamlined approach, where everything is on the table. The amounts you are talking require an institutional address, which in the cases I would reference require an endorsement.

I deny that banks can not move fast, done that, been there, have seen others like DB FFM, UBS and even BoA and Chase moving fast on a securities based structure. In M&A I've seen the Finnish Banks and a specific Iceland Bank moving billions for KKR on call within 10 minutes of the call.

I believe the markets are currently adjusting and that the kind of lending you are looking for will not be an easy go. Since I have no hard data on your collateral no reference possible anyway.
