Dear Friend,

My Name is Jabi Williams , An Angoland I was one of the personal aid to
the former
president of Liberia who was thrown out of power by the Liberian people,
he is
presently been held by the world court in Hague for war crimes. Prior to
the crisis
that led to his leaving power and Liberia completely as was requested by
the American
government, I was in charge of most of his finances and other valuables.

I have waited for over 4 years now since he was arrested in Nigerian and
handed
over to the world court officials. We have been praying for miracle to
happen but
none seem near and from all indication we know that he will not leave
there a save
man.
They have trace and confiscated most of his assets in physical cash and
properties.
I have become very scared of recent time and I can not wait again, that is
what
prompts this letter to you I want to use you as the heir to the funds that
are held
in Ghana .

The fund were deposited by me on his behalf due to global financial
watch on terrorist
funds my close contacts where the fund are been held has advise me to
bring someone
reputable person and claim this fund and invest rather than keeping the
fund idle the way
it is now.

I am contacting you with God feelings believing that you will not expose
me and
will cooperate with me to claim the fund and invest in your country, he
has other
deposit of diamonds and gold in various locations, once we are through
with retrieving
the fund I will give you contacts also to where these other valuables are
kept so
that we can claim them, we have to do this quickly because if the
authority in Liberia
find out any of this information they will seize them, they have a special
agency
whose job is to search for this information. you can find the information
on this
site below

You are first person I have ever contacted concerning this matter,
therefore kindly

Regards,

Jabi Williams.

Why is "god" quoted in so many scam or even supposedly legitimate business transaction. Forgetting for a moment the fact that the above is an obvious scam, superstition/religion is just that, it has no basis in fact or evidence of proven facts. Business is facts, or should I say, real business is facts. People should keep their bibles or stone idols to themselves. Lets see what religious fervor and "burn in hell" type crap comes from the idiots that always quote "god" in their communications. Expecting that everyone believes in the same mumbo jumbo proves how stupid people are that quote "god" -- and yes -- I despise religion, especially the ones that quote it in their scams and the stupid ones that add it in their communications thinking that everyone else believes in their stupid quotes as well. And this goes for the idiots that run the countries and make comments like "god bless our country" -- and typically saying this as going off to bomb some other country. What a stupid joke.

it's common in the environment these scam flowers grow in to make live and perception easier by looking at other nations and its citizens in terms of easy to grab expressions and I have to admit (after driving coast to coast once in a rental and having only Jesus in the Radio from Oklahoma to the California Border) that in Africa Americans are often perceived as very "god" liking/fearing people. Its also perceived that such people are easier scammed.

In reality thats not necessary true but perception is just....

The original post was meant to share with the forum a scam the poster has encountered. Your response says that there is no place on this forum for religious discussion. But I take your response to be a clear assualt on religion (Meaning: YOU made the thread a religious discussion).

That said, a blessed Good Friday to all. (I hold no ill feelings toward you even though your rant comes on the most solemn day of the Church calendar). I will not respond to additional comments.

PS - We're mainly finance people on this board; analytic and maybe mathmatic with some game theory. At a minimum, Pascal's Wager...

Richard:

Thank's for the link. Had a good laugh for some minutes. Special the "Tina Udo Story".
