Gentlemen,

It seems scammers are now attempting to represent MIGA.

I have never heard of MIGA Numbers, similar to FED Numbers.

Anyone here knows more on this subject nay choose to enlighten us on such

exploits.

Below is one such attempt.

will

My client has discuss with his bank official if the bank official will send email to you, I will update to you.

Below is one guy claim, what's your thinging??

Quote,
As mentioned, I hold World Bank MIGA Number X8XX2, which allows me to go straight to any of the top 25 banks and request for the instrument being requested.

I do not follow "broker" procedures.

I am a PRINCIPAL where Fresh Cut Instruments are to be issued on the basis of World Bank MIGA Number X8XX2 with any funds that enters into a contract with me.

I AM NOT A "BROKER". DO NOT EXPECT FOR ME TO POINT YOU TO THE BANKS I USE FOR THE INSTRUMENTS YOU ARE REQUESTING. THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN.

However, under a Special Purpose Vehicle (Widely used by World Bank and United Nation for private placement), I am in a position to offer preferred shares of a Special Purpose Vehicle Entity (under FSA compliance), where proceeds of SPV Preferred Shares (US$100M to US$1B) are entered into contract with the investing party for a "Best Effort" return of 20X that of the invested amount plus a guaranteed buy back of the preferred shares sold.

We can even effect the sales of Special Purpose Vehicle preferred shares inside Bank. Main trade activities are held in London

Note, there is no short cut to this transaction. There is no such thing as "URGENT". I follow protocol that is subject to WB, United Nation, FSA and/or US Treasury Compliance.

No MT103s, No MT 760s, no line of credits needed. Funds will stay in same bank. No movement of funds. We do all in cash. "Best Effort" profits are released in the form of BGs, CDs or MTNs.
Unquote,

James Bond is the actual COO of MIGA and his number is 007.

You can actually ask Peter Cleary of MIGA about this claim. He would be interested to know who is representing such an offer. Was that claim made by email?

Will,

Yet another example of the idiot scammers trying to use a claimed link with an established bone fide body to make their claims seem plausible.

MIGA Numbers are assigned to particular transactions undertaken on a MIGA to Government basis only. For details of the work and structure of the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency see here:

http://www.miga.org/index_sv.cfm

The example you quote also appears to clearly breach both UK and US law in relation to the public offering of stock.

MIGA is an underwriter under the World Bank regulatory regime and you can have them underwriting risk coverages that includes currency transfer restriction, expropriation, and war and civil disturbance under a structure implemented  for specifically designed for small and medium-size investors investing in small and medium-size enterprises (SMEs).

Hi Richard, Chad,

That was sent to me by a broker who reads this forum and thought it was real.

We all know, to get commercial paper is not the least bit difficult.

The trick is that to be involved with the issuers, be recognised as

a Lender of Choice and have good banks for securitisation and

syndication.

It does take a long time to get there or be invited to an internal

bid.

Daydreamers, joker Brokers and Scammers proflierate the internet,

awaiting for that elusive payday.

Will:

I do have an other question:

Do MIGA already know that their Name is involved in such fraudulent offers to may set up a warning in their Homepage included to start informing the authorities?

Greetings
TW
