We are seeking owners of CMOs who want a credit line against their paper. Prefer IndyMac, WaMu, Freddie Mac or similar.

Will lend between 5% and 10% of current (not original) face value for one year.

For exact quote please send current Bloomberg screen shot. No current Bloomberg = no quote.

Brokers must be direct to principal. Commissions paid on actual loan amount, NOT the original or current face value of the CMO.

I think even 5% for IndyMac is too much since yesterday.

Freddie Mac or Fanny Mae are will getting better as the US Government will start a "rescue" before they burned.

They will never go bankrupt as they carry the "double eagle " guarantee of the usa, as they have, " full faith and credit of the usa gov" as per there charter issued by congress

I've heard the LTV for this trash is pretty high at some Asian banks. I'm thinking about trying my luck hiding some in Africa. Maybe, for all of you that want to get back at the Nigerians, you can sell em some CMOs from the US.

Your WaMu observation is correct but there are still loan funds available for the other less shaky CMOs; that is of course if the applicant does not submit forged docments which seems to be the norm these days or makes ridiculous demands of the lender. We all know Uncle Sam won't let FNMA and FHLMC do down the tubes. Their CMOs still have value.

Show us the CMO and as long as you are the real owner I will show you the money.

Collateralized Mortgage Obligation

Hi Smt2000,

Collateralized Mortgage Obligation (CMO) trading is rightfully so as you

have stated, not done in that fashion.

I have not been involved in this area but have been solicicited several

times now.

What is interesting is that there are so much said, but most fail to see

that there is a liquidity crunch out there.

I feel that this is an area (managing risks) that is viable given long term

goals.

Recovery is perhaps a quater or two away and the next rise is about 2 years,

hence a long term or medium term view.

Unless Mr deep pockets is putting out the buffet, it isn't going to

be any sooner.

first learn about the different types of "remics" than learn how to read a bloomberg screen shot the right way , including pricing, prepayments, balances, and yield pricing.
