Personally I have no idea what the fuzz is all about, people flaming each other, posting this and that, trying to expose something, by repeating things from other sites or old postings.
Its a style question, may be a character question, and frankly there is no right to post, its a priviledge, we are guests and there is an expectation not to abuse hospitability.
The storage capabilities of a forum are limited, okay they are bigger now than before, but blowing up the postings with quotes should have a reason, for example if you feel the place of the information is going to disappear and a link will not work, but when the discussion is not that important or the link is going to stay, may be consider posting an abstract and a link only.
It also makes reading easier if someone condenses a long text.
Than there is the personality issues, we all have our ego's but in a social environment you take yourself back and interact with each other, the way of the apes is easier but more noisy, when I want a bar brawl I go to other places.
I have no issue with people discussing scams etc but between professional there should be specific format: Facts and Deductions and Opinion all seperate and well balanced.
Remember this forum more or less polices itself, calls for the moderator will not do anything. The art or discussion is something most countries include at least as basic knowledge in high school, so language barriers may be there, but everyone knows how discussions work.
Calm responses make your position clearer, insults only indicate a personal evaluation; no argument, fact or actual response, it actually demeens the person who uses the insult more than the insulted, because it shows an inability to engage in a meaningful discourse.
This is a personal opinion only.

James, it never makes any sense to go back and say who offended or attacked first, sometimes a short remark is enough and sometimes it better to disregard, posting back and forth, repeating and so on makes a difficult read and does not help the reading public, remember there are some people who only read and look for information.

Thank you for posting my California Bar Record. In large print yet; I feel honored. I know you think that somehow makes me an axe-murder and felon. But since you appear to be interested in the facts, let me give you the facts:
Fifteen years ago - and yes, we are going back fifteen (15) whole years - I wound down my Management Labor Law practice (which was my area of legal specialization at the time) - and I moved from California to Europe to accept a position as in-house legal counsel with a Foundation there. At the time, I had no intention to return to California or the private practice of law, and I made the decision at that time to stop paying my bar fees. Hence, I am not currently able to private practise of law in California. This suits me just fine. I return regularly to California, but I have no interest in taking up the private practice of law again. I curently work as in-house legal work, much like Richard does. In fact, exactly as Richard does.
Now, Jim, please take another look at my Bar Record. Do you see where it says: "This Member has no public record of discipline." Let me repeat it for you: "THIS MEMBER HAS NO PUBLC RECORD OF DISCIPLINE." Now surely someone of your brilliant intellect understands what that means. But let me state it for you again: "This Member has no public record of discipline".
You see, Jim, in all my years of private practice in Los Angeles I never had one disciplinary action taken against me! NOT ONE. As my record reflects. That's an accomplishment I am quite proud of. Especially in LA where it is very litigious, and lawyer are constantly sued at the drop of a hat. I wonder if you as a real estate agent can say the same.
Jim, thank you for this opportunity to share the facts with you.
Respectfully,
Robert Charles Cohen
