Business Professionals or Professional Jokers

I placed a post on this website pertaining to hypothecation of gems. When I received the responses off line, I asked a simple question, "What's the name of your company?"; not one of the respondents would give me any information on their company or the company my client would be dealing. I found this to be very odd. They did want me to send ALL docs on the gems and THEN they would reveal to me. WHY WOULD I SEND CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION TO PEOPLE WHO WILL NOT REVEAL THEIR COMPANY IDENTITY?

I am sooo frustrated wih some of the people on this board. I will not respond with their names because I don't want to get in a back and forth situation I have seen in other posts on the board.

If you conduct business in such a manner, please DO NOT RESPOND to any of my posts.

I never disclose the name of my company to anyone on this forum, unless I am satisfied they are the real deal and capable of producing what they say they can. Hence why only a few posters here have my company details and my work contact details.

However....I can see things from your point of view, and I would never request confidential info without disclosing full details. It can result in a game of "tag" for a while though!

And by the way, I know nothing at all about hypothecation of gems!

Madabney,

You're totally justified in your frustration. When someone
I don't know sends me an offer or responds to something
I have, I insist they provide full contact information
before we get into anything. When I'm in that position,
I do the same, simple as that. Professional etiquette 101.

Incidentally, my group happens to be in the process of hypothecating
some gems, and perhaps I can help. I almost responded to
your initial post, but I've just been so busy I didn't get to it.

You may contact me at hcap@roadrunner.com. And you won't
encounter any transparency issues.

No one is asking for the full CIS, only details of gems that you have, based on that full proposal is forwrded normally.

Madabney,

I am in full agreement with you and do see many a joker broker wanting

in slide in inbetween you and the lender.

Next you will find these clowns claiming to be mandates and may try

to cut you out. Float it on the internet, like in Bradys and Alibaba etc.

Stupid as it sounds, well they are stupid.

Deal with those with full representation and only if they check out.

Many claim to do billion dollar deals, but are addressed in low cost

housing in the middle of nowhere.

My advise is to try RZB, HSBC or LLB, as these folks have done it.

I did not give specifics as to the persons who would not give me their company information, but since UTIGER responded to my post stating he wanted information on the gems, I must respond.

UTIGER, I asked you for your company name, you would not give it to me. BEFORE I begin to pass information, it's always nice to know who youre passing information to. Since you would not give me something simple as YOUR Company name since YOU said YOUR Company can hypothecate, you lead me to believe it's not YOUR Company.

In any large or small transaction, full disclosure is needed to complete a deal.

Madabny, I wouldn't bother too much about utiger. Check out the "BG or SBLC" thread on page 2. I think he's just another joker (although I'm happy to be proved wrong).
