Don't know if anyone knew this or not, but we're business writers and researchers. We've done about 200 business plans and grant proposals for start-ups, middle-stages, and full-blown corporations, including several school districts, government agencies and multi-national conglomerates. We've also handled marketing campaigns for projects, by creating brochures, Powerpoint presentations, and full marketing proposals to begin or greatly stimulate sales.
We've been researchers for the Gale Group, a part of Cengage Learning, writing and updating their encyclopedias, biographies and political, historical and business periodicals over the past few years.
We're also generalists. That means we come into a topic or subject, pretty much any topic you can dream up, and retrieve, gather and organize information, data and numbers on that topic to generate reports, spreadsheets, workbooks, pamphlets, etc.
While we may work with oil and fuel brokering on the side, we still have to rely on what we've done over the past decade or so to keep us going until good things come about. We work very hard, talking on phones, sending emails, creating and writing reports and letters, generating and maintaining all sorts of draft contracts, NCNDAs, etc., and we know all that hard work will pay off someday.
