I have long been saying that credit files should be outlawed, they make lenders to rely on them without doing their homework and damn people who had bad luck and try to start over. The use of a corporate tax payer ID is perfectly legal when you use it for establishing corporate credit, what is illegal is misrepresenting to whom the number belongs. People can use them, they have tax repercussions however depending on how things are set up, Immigrant Tax ID's or non-resident ID's ITIN, hm I have not heard that the aversion to give foreigners meaningful loans has been abandoned by US Banks.
Lets be straight, there is plenty of money but no one lends for the usual structures, you need to entice lenders with something new, and everybody checks now a days three times before extending credit, at least when the lenders name is not BoA which only makes a fake attempt to lend and not even a good one

I, too, despise the FICO system--pure collusion between the Three Credit Behemoths and the
CreditCardBankCartel to wring every last possible cent out of us, especially those to whom "stuff
has happened," i.e., nearly everyone at one time or another. Probably illegal, but mounting and
winning a case seems insurmountable in so many ways.
Meanwhile, the FTC hasn't the slightest power to do anything but put out their little handbook on how
best to keep our nose clean. No, we all know who's in charge here. This is not what Hamilton had in mind.

There are people/companies who base their employment decisions, even insurance rates on credit files, its a disease coming to Europe as well, will make it impossible or difficult to get of their lists without damaging effects to your banking, so people are forced to play the game, however I'm waiting for them to fall the same as rating companies, the times are over investors blindly rely on the likes of Moody's or S&P. The problem however is that the credit files are engaged with small investors and the different governments like the idea of them harnessing the data, illegal still, however how long and even some presidents did not care what is legal and so.....

Please edit your post to remove the suggestion. Some people may take it seriously. We don't want our insurance premiums to go up because of insurance fraud increase. Thank you for your understanding.

but they pull credit files etc for every job, like where we both live in Southern California, and frankly just that there is a potential does not give the employer enough reason, ......and I do not think that everyone in trouble uses the "burn baby burn" method.

I'm only talking about this sentence:
"They burn the car or home and they file for insurance protection"
While I understood it is not your intentional suggestion, it can serve as one very well for some people. Someone can pick it up via Google and apply very quickly, in high numbers. You never know. Best is to edit it. I can not tell you to delete or edit it - it is up to you. It actually would fall somehow under unwritten rule of not discussing illegal activities.
