How DARE you purport to speak as Jesus Christ!! I am offended that you would make such a mockery. You would have been stoned to death for making such a claim in biblical times.

Besides, your arguments about prayer in school and on government buildings are ridiculous. I do not want my children subjected to government imposed prayer. That is exactly what our constitution protects against and exactly why our forefathers fled England. To say that a public, government-funded school should have daily prayer is outrageous! Who do you propose should lead the prayer? What if the pray-er is not of your denomination and prays things that you disagree with? What if the pray-er is of a different faith? Is a Jewish prayer acceptable? What about Hindu? Muslim? Budhist?

I will and do pray with my children in church and at home and I will fight or flee any country that wants to impose another (your) religion on me or my family.

If you are not talking about public prayer in school, then you have nothing to argue about. There is nothing preventing any child from praying a private, personal prayer in school. I prayed in school from kindergarten until graduation. I remember praying when I got scared as a small child, and praying over my food, and praying for help on tests. The beauty of prayer, is that it can be a silent, private thing that nobody else need know about.

If you feel that a public group prayer is what your children need, there are plenty of private schools available that supply just that. That way you can make sure that the prayer is in harmony with your beliefs. There are no laws prohibiting public prayer in private schools.
