SATURDAY 22nd JANUARY see the launch of TWO new nights at BARFLY on Clyde St. SUPERFUZZ & ROCKet SCIENCE. Both will run on the 3rd Saturday of the Month and in February they will be joined by the return of the KAZOO CLUB!


SUPERFUZZ - Will be in the club space downstairs in Barfly and as such, the music will be focused on the dancefloor. The playlist will be geared heavily towards energetic guitar based music, but the night will also include elements of hiphop and funk when it works well into the mix. Although not a regular feature, live music will be included on an occasional basis.

ROCKet SCIENCE - Will be in the bar area and will be a riotous mix of leftfield sounds. As a contrast to the dancefloor element of SUPERFUZZ, ROCKet SCIENCE will focus on the more experimental side of music covering a broad mix of styles. With no easy way to describe every sub-genre of music that developes, a rough idea of the mix would include: new wave, no wave, dancehall, genius, mutant disco, post punk, electro, garage, hip hop, psych pop, metal, blues, kraut rock, breakbeat, ear abuse, glich brilliance, sleng teng, glasgae, psycho sleaze billy, moogy blues, spazz math pop, space rock, no idea, string plucking, booty bass, lo-fi, etc. As with SUPERFUZZ, live music will be included on an occasional basis.


THE KAZOO CLUB - launches on SAT 19th FEB at BARFLY and runs the third Saturday of the month from 8pm till 11pm. Entry allows you to stay on for both SUPERFUZZ and ROCKet SCIENCE.

hey, thaks to everyone who made it down. Third Sat of the month (just before payday) is always a tough one to sell... but it TOTTALY ROCKED!!! the general gist of what I heard from people was that they really loved the music, but never knew half of it! Didn't seem to make a difference to the dancefloor which was rammed all night.

hope to see some of you down next month when Blondie will be our rep...
