aye who was the dick that kept doing that to Euan :p
what a great weekend, i said i would write a story on it and i think i might
getting asked to dj was a nice touch and i had good fun, my mates though it was decent as they could use....wait for this one...clean toilets
the back half of the bus up, 1 bottle of jack, 1 of gin and half a case tennents between 4 of yus! Karen being all mrs PR hehe! the guy shouting "these sweeties r pure shite" when you gave him a badge! haha. "The front of the bus, they canny read" when i asked if they wanted to see the lineup! Ali and Helen joining in and being like they had known us lot for years
kobai, the last project and the fratellis would all have heard thier songs..kobai more so than anyone as they love the sound of thier own voices. Glad you enjoyed it lads, there was some good banter, shame about the dancing
so many stories Suzi there are...pancake, muffin etc, the change of names was hilarious! great guys..Ali with a non stop smile, glad we found them all
the londoners up safe and well and keeping me fed with thier bbq on the friday night, i must admit, 2 sausages in a roll with cheese and bbq sauce was amazing, and 2 of that is all good
shame i never made it to beat 106 bus at any point, its always a good laugh, i found the double D's Lynne and Dave though, in fact woke them up to get them to come out, this was all friday
the Kaiser Chefs finding out about my menu was nice of you Neary! ive got they photos you have sent now..i never got to meet many bands, altohugh asking super furries what song they wanted before they came on stage with the reply "as long as it aint killers or keane" was funny...sat in the band area later on in the sunday night with eddie argos of art brut and another of his band members, that was a good laugh. Also there were the paddingtons, a few folks from tuts and the guy from 10 benson (Dave), he was shocked that i had saw his band. Also his singing of the doors was great. Got a quick chat with Dom from the Others as per normal Others gig i suppose
i went looking for Dave Grohl on sat though, no other reason than i thought it would be funny to get a photo with ihm to piss off my mate, never bother looking after about 2 minutes
playing the Arctic monkeys at one point to hear a guy singing it behind me, asking me how i got it, to find out he was their tour manager Tim...nice guy. As was Louis XIV's tour manager, who probably didnt understand anything i meant...they were a cool band with some hives-esque dancing
Jim Gellatly requesting Abba from me was quite funny, for his troubles i gave him a bottle of water
Saturday night in the camp site walking with mate to hear the white rose movement on a tape player i sat down and started chatting this guy called Stuart, we shared a couple of beers listening to this tape, having a laugh with him for about an hour or 2 and then to find out it wasnt his tents he was at, it was some random, he just saw the tape player and sat down, people walking through the path was handy as i saw a few of my mates. Also he found a handy toilet, so helping himself to couple of cans, the company of someone elses tape player, he was also pissing on thier tents! a total had to be there moment
the 2 acoustic guitarists on the path soon joined by the girl with the tambourine and the massive crowd was a great laugh
a fantastic weekend which was a shame to leave, the constant banter or as Ali called it "verbal Ping pong"
what i learned:
Air guitar bands can play at T in the park
frozen cheesecake tastes great when its free and someone is desperate for you to take it off thier hands.
the crew that was working around me were great people
25,000 tickets for next year's T In The Park went on sale this morning, but they've all gone!
