Can anybody think of any well known, decent venues which can be hired on the cheap or free for an amazing birthday party inbetween December 7th and January 7th?

When I say decent I mean something other than Wig Wam yadda yadda yadda..

Any suggestions would be welcome

(craig- you can dj for free, you lucky boy!!)

I dont think the 13th Note is a nice place for a party. Its not a very pleasant room to be in if you're not there for a gig.

A better bet would be the basement room in Black on Union Street (disco lights, free hire, cheaper drinks, more central) or the back room in Rust on bath Street if you're looking for somewhere quite flash. Or the basement of Bacchus in Glassford Street, probably the most presentable of the lot. There is a hire charge but you can get that back if you get enough people in.

Hope that helps!
