SCUNNER
Are a trio of local mishaps who thrive on public adoration. We have a penchant for the elaborate and are simply mad keen on decadence.
We dream of Berlin 1930 and the Paris of the sixties. Guy Debord & Co have never, in our eyes, disbanded! "To hell with work, to hell with dead time, lets embrace our passions". This has become our manifesto, thanks Guy.
Scunner got together to write songs drawing on a wide range of influences,without feeling the need to adhere to one particular genre, this leads to the creation of a different new pidgeonhole every week.
Genre of the week this week is: "post-cabaret dadaist stagecore"
Many people say the scunner sound has hints of things; bowie, joy division, scott walker, alex harvey, pulp..............the full package though, sometimes confuses and entertains in equal measures.
GLASGOW GLAM BANGERS
The Glasgow Glam Bangers are a duo from the west end of Glasgow, Scotland. They are glam revivalists who pay homage to the pre punk era that was big in uk known as glitter or glam rock( not fucking hair metal from the 80s that stuff is and always will be fucking crap! bands like poison, cinderella ,vain ,pretty boy floyd, bon jovi etc, can fuck off and die), Our live shows are a mix of original material and some covers specifically from that era. The Glasgow Glam Bangers are Paxton Andrews a strange creature from the west of scotland who sweats glitter and Piano Reeves who refuses to be influenced by anyone else on guitar other than Steve Jones, Mick Ronson,James Dean Bradfield and Johnny Ramone! He also holds Paxton in contempt for not sharing his Marxist views, (Paxton is too liberal) but does respect him grudgingly for his devotion to the Glam cause!
THE STUPID IDIOTS
The Stupid Idiots formed in 2003 in lyndseys kitchen. Their first album 'Perils Of Wisdom' was recorded in the summer of 2004, and is available on the bands website at
