Boy, was THAT a long week. Especially because I have ALL my hard classes on one day, and then all my easy ones on another. I get so stressed out on the hard day and just when I think I can't take anymore.... ahhh, I get to relax with Symphonic Band, Chamber Singers, Contemporary Issues, and Study Hall. . My "hard" day (when I have the most work to do) is the day in which I have Pre-Calculus, AP Chemistry, French 4, and AP English Language and Composition. The last one is my favorite of the day .

Let's see. I was very un-inventive about my hair this week. I would have done more with it if it didn't grease up after 3 days.

Sunday - down with a mini claw. Yes, it did keep frizzing, but I finger combed all day and it ended up not looking TOO bad.

Monday - swirly bun with hairsticks to match my outfit.

Tuesday - same as Monday.

Wednesday - started out with a shortened ponytail, but the length it was at was bugging me and kept coming on my neck. I could never have shoulder length hair! So it ended up going into a swirly bun.

Thursday - started out with a french braid, but it was just in the way of everything, especially since we had a Chem lab (yes, I know, in the first week! We've already had a bunch of tests and quizzes in other subjects this week too, and SO MUCH homework!). So it went up into a braided bun with a couple of sticks that I brought along.

Thursday night was fantastic. I'm the "birthday planner" normally - I go to great lengths to make sure my friends have fantastic birthdays... I plan parties, I get really meaningful gifts, etc. But for my birthday, I knew my friends weren't going to be here, and they aren't great at planning huge events anyway, which I don't mind. I don't like to be fussed over. Anyway, since yesterday night was the last day of the week, we all decided to go to dinner (and it had already been a week since my birthday). So the girls picked me up and we went to a Korean restaurant and ate.

Then Isabelle wanted dessert, which is odd, because she is usually so conscious about these things and she doesn't eat sweets much. And she said, "Could you please bring some dessert?" which I thought was odd, I mean usually you have to order whatever you're going to get! LOL! But I thought nothing of it until... the waiters brought me a birthday cake!

My friends are SO sweet! I can't believe they did that for me! The cake had "Sweet 16 Princess Leia" on it, and they had gone and bought it right before picking me up for dinner. The whole restaurant started singing to me! I was so embarrassed! But I can't believe my friends did something so sweet and thoughtful for me. I was really touched .

Then we didn't know where to go, so we went to Isabelle's house and got a little bit more "fancy" , and we wanted to go to a club or something to go dancing. However, there are no clubs here without people who drink and without drugs going all over, and I didn't want to go to a place like that. I wish there were some under-18 clubs here so that we could go without having to worry about other things, and just dance! But there aren't. So we went to this karaoke place, but they were just shutting down. Then we went to a restaurant where you can smoke shisha which they wanted to do, but there was a party so we couldn't go in (well, for that I'm glad, because I didn't want to smoke it or watch them smoke it!). So then we went across the road to an ice cream place where we saw a few people from our school. By that time it was 11 and just getting to the time where we all had to be home, so we came back and had a nice sleep .

Hair stuff: I wore my hair down and side parted yesterday. I took the side that had the smaller part and pushed some of it back with a comb.

When I got home last night, I put on a mixture of Thea's kitchen shampoo -
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 whole egg
- 1 egg yolk
- the juice of half of a big lemon

I also added about six drops of oil to make it more moisturized. I dampened my hair and applied this. It is quite runny, but that makes it easier to get all over the scalp. I applied it upside down, left it in all night, and then rinsed. My hair felt quite soft while rinsing, but it is still wet so I don't know yet. I'll check in later with the results.

Love,
~*Leia*~
