I have been wanting to do a search and destroy mission (trimming off splits) for AGES, but I haven't got the time. I scheduled yesterday's one according to the MM Lunar Chart's lengthening day. I had very little homework, so I sat with my dad and watched tv (that's our little father-daughter thing

). I found a lot less splits than I was expecting, which is always a good thing. I did find a couple of really huge, scary ones, though!
I tried
Martine's Scrunchie Bun Scalp Wash today. I have done scrunchie bun scalp washes without the shower cap, unsuccessfully (a lot of my hair ended up wet). Most of my scalp washes have been ponytail or braid scalp washes, which were successful but always got my bangs wet. Today it was perfect!
I didn't follow Martine's instructions exactly. My hair was already in a hairstick bun, so I took the sticks out and put a shower cap on top, followed by a scrunchie. I used Lush's Karma Komba to scalp wash and my length stayed snug and dry, and my bangs stayed in my bun so they didn't get wet! Usually, ponytails and braids are very loose, especially around the scalp, which was why I liked them for scalp washes. However, they were loose enough to allow the bangs to fall out. A loose bun allows great scalp coverage but holds the bangs in. So it was perfect!
I have been really tired lately, and I don't know if my posts here or on the Loom make much sense. I have a couple of pictures but I can't be bothered to post them right now. Will do so on the weekend
