It was deep conditioning day. This is what I put in my mixture:

- 2 split ending healing capsules (LOL, I'll explain this later)
- shea butter
- olive oil
- 1 drop lavender EO
- John Frieda Miracle Masque
- Lavender Hair Growth Oil (Everyday Mehndi)
- Lush American Cream conditioner
- almond oil

I used very little of everything - only a few drops of each oil and less than a teaspoon of the conditioners and shea butter. Now, the split end healing capsules! My mother bought some for me a couple of years ago, when my hair was shoulder length and I was into frying my hair to death with a blow dryer. I found split ends, but had no idea where they had come from , and these capsules were great - they seemed to "heal" the split ends immediately! Little did I know, they were doing no such thing. Anyway, I found two of these old capsules lying around, and I know they are full of cones, but I decided to put it in my mixture so as not to waste them. They aren't hiding any splits anyway - I did an extensive S&D before the deep conditioning!

I applied this goo on my damp hair and let it sit in a bun for about 30 minutes while I had my bath. Yesterday was a great bath - I exfoliated, moisturized, scrubbed, etc., and now my face and feet are feeling heavenly soft. Then I rinsed my hair, shampooed my scalp with Body Shop Honey Moisturizing Shampoo, rinsed, and let it air dry.

This was all around 6 pm. I left it to air-dry, and of course by 10.15 when I was getting ready for bed, it was still quite damp. I put it in a very loose swirly bun on top of my head, and this morning it is still damp. I am also not combing it till it is completely dry. I have been doing this for a few weeks and have found that my waves and curls are greatly enhanced when I don't comb my hair when it is wet/damp! Also, I hear a lot of snapping when combing wet hair, so I decided to avoid that completely and just wait till my hair is dry.

Since I did such a cone-filled deep conditioning this time, I am thinking that my next deep conditioning can be all natural; honey, oil, egg, coffee, shea butter, etc. I will have to see what I can whip up when the time comes!

Love,
