It's called Common Errors in English. I learned a lot of new things, and had a laugh at other things! His comments are sometimes quite funny! My favorites were:

An historic - one of my friends swears that it's AN, not A!

Butt naked - tee hee!

If I were - I always say this (I guess I picked it up from all the books I read as a child), but everyone else I know says "If I was." When we were learning the subjunctive in French class, our French teacher said that "if I were" is correct in English, but hardly anyone uses it anymore! Then she sang us, "If I were an Oscar Meier (sp.?) Weiner..." LOL!

Itch/scratch - I like this one!

Y'all - I didn't knwo there was a "technically correct" version for this! But I guess it does make sense!

Another think coming - Hehe, this is a cute one! I always thought it was "thing," having never heard the original expression!

Anyway, if you're a crazy English buff like I am, you'll enjoy the site. Someone said to me the other day (after my having gone through a fit of correcting his English... in a nice way, of course, and people who know me are used to it!), "Isn't language about communication? Not about always getting everything absolutely correct?" I guess that's true. I do get caught up in rules sometimes. I don't know why that is, but it's a habit I have never been able to shake, even if I do break a few rules myself! LOL!

Back to hair : It has been unusually soft today. I had to put it up because I had a "mock" piano exam and I didn't want it bothering me. It has also been unusually wavy and frizzy; it must be the humidity in the air. I have so many whispies that are coming out really curly! That never happens!

Oh, and here is a picture of the hairstyle I did last night, when I went out. It is two thin rope braids at the top secured with a mini claw in the middle. Look at all the waaaaves!

I wonder how I should do my hair tonight, for the family dinner I will be attending.

Love,
