I REACHED 40 INCHES! OH MY GOODNESS I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! YAYYYYYY! It is classic length while wet, but still a few inches short while dry. OOOOOH I reached 40"!! That is 0.8" in 2 months, which is a bit less than average, but oooooh I don't care! :D
Okay, enough of that! Here is my treatment from last night.
Last night, I made the protein concoction as planned. I mixed in:
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon honey
- a pea-sized dollop of shea butter
- around a teaspoon of almond oil
- a few drops of Proactiv protein treatment
- 2 drops rosemary EO
- 3 drops lavender EO
The EO drops were involuntary! I tried to put 1 drop of rosemary, but an extra drop went in by mistake. So I tried to even it out with 2 drops of lavender, but an extra drop went into THAT, so I had an uneven mixture. However, it smelled slightly stronger of rosemary anyway...
I applied all of this to my hair (length and scalp), coiled it up, and put it under my brand spanking new shower cap. I have a drawer full of them, because Daddy gets me one from all the hotels he goes to whenever he travels, so that I have extra when mine stretches out. It was so nice and snug last night that it hadn't even moved when I woke up this morning, and there wasn't even any need for the protecting towel!
Anyway, I rinsed it out this morning with nice cool water. Then I made an ACV rinse on the spot with tap water and a tiny bit of ACV. I put this all over my length and scalp, let it sit for a few seconds, and then rinsed that out as well. Then I shampooed my scalp with Body Shop Honey Moisturizing Shampoo, rinsed, squeezed out the extra moisture, and covered with a towel.

felt really conditioned but I don't know if the extra protein is helping it fluff up a bit or not. And it smelled very faintly of rosemary! Maybe I should boil up an ACV rinse and put it in a bottle in my bathroom like Fox does. I will have to dig up her post and find out what exactly it is, and maybe I'll have time this weekend to do something similar. Right now I think I want to make something that is basically pure boiled ACV with EO in it that I can just add to water whenever I want, but I might just make up the whole rinse. I'll have to see!
