I don't think yotes learn to prey on domestic dogs. It is instinct, they cannot help what they might see as a threat or food source. Sorry bout your hound, but I have seen and heard of yotes coming right up to people around here and snatching them off leashes, to them they are only trying to survive. Should you really see it as a problem, try getting a .223 and taking care of them in a simple, effective, humane manner. Trapping isn't always the most effective as you run the risk of catching unwanted species. Firearm control is the best option, but from now on lets try to keep it on airguns. Thanks and good luck.
