I have been shooting English sparrows and starlings out of my window. My 7yr son, came into my office and said " Dad, there is a big hawk by my window. Sure enough, it is the same one I see flying out of my window from time to time. I had been wondering why all of the dead birds have been disappearing so quickly. Now I know. Also, I took my new squirrel call out with me for a jog yesterday. I ran down the road to a small bridge and did the distress call. I noticed a squirrel coming out of a tree about 30 yards away It took him about 2 minutes to get within 10 ft of me. He saw me, and I was beginning to wonder if he was going to jump up on me. I guess this thing works. Has anybody used a raccoon call Before. I hear their chatter in the bushes by the creek all the time when I go running.
Interesting fact I heard on tv. We all know that Hawks have powerful eyes. But did you know how powerful. You can walk a foot ball field out to 50 yards and place a penny down on the ground. A hawk at 100 yards in the air can not only see the penny, but can make out the head of the penny in full detail.
