That's unfortunate..

the 2 rabbits got away after being hit. We 've all had those days, but they beat "a day in the office" anytime. I know how that feels when a groundhog I shot at 40yds got hit in the shoulder/body area and ran down his burrow only to die there a couple of days later (the smell finally died off the other day). This groundhog was massive, and I knew without a head or heart shot I didn't stand a chance before he made it to his hole ~12ft away.

I would really appreciate it though if everyone told us what gun they went hunting with. It makes the story a little better, and also helps us understand why the animals might have gotten away or amaze us at the distance your prey went down.
