Over the Christmas holiday I had a fantastic opportunity to see just how much fun the hobby of shooting airguns can be. I, for the first time, shot a Beeman R9 at several man made targets. The first target I hit, with amazing accuracy, was simply an empty tin can about fourty yards away. Not very glamorous, but for the fact that it sparked an amazement with airgun shooting that will not soon go away.
Soon after I wanted to know everything about airguns and airgun shooting. I've bookmarked several links and aquired a few really great books on the subject, and will soon purchase my first rifle. I am wondering how good I will be with a live taget... some wilely creature on the move, which brings me to my next topic.
I made it home after a long trip to find in my garage what I suspected all along. A field mouse, of which there may be many more, in a conventional trap. I wasn't just imagining hearing things thrashing around in my black garbage bag. I'm wondering how efficient I can be with my newfound hobby in eradicating these pests by setting out some bait and testing my new toy.
