You can have a pelletholder with a pad thickness to match your "long" pellets. See at www.pelletholder.com Your pellet skirt should be flush with the surface of the pad. .250" pads work well with most .177 and/or .20 caliber and .22 wadcutters ; .325" pads work for .177 Predators,.22 pointed,other "longer" .22 or .25 caliber ; .425" pads hold .22 Predators,.22 shotshells, and .22 rimfire cartridges.
