shows what I can do with one on squirrel heads. What makes it unique is how it handles off hand in thick wooded areas. It is like a big pistol for me as I walk with it along my side. I have taken crow at close to 50 yards, and if opportunity arises I would not hesitate to go out further with confidence.

The short barrel gives fast lock time, shoots an 8.4 grain JSB at 840 fps, quiet enough, fair trigger, shoulders and points nicely.

R9 has superior accuracy off the bench, is better for the longer shot but harder to hold on the firing cycle off hand. Of course, the record trigger is much, much better but for woodland hunting the Lightning is something to experience.
