i just bought a stoeger x20 in .22 and from the penatration tests ive done im thinking that it would be possible to take down beavers at my favourite fishing hole. its not uncommon to have beavers that swim only foot away from me . lol my cell phone has gone off while one was super close to me and it didnt even flinch.
supposedly the x20 shoots at around 900 fps and ill be feeding it 16 grain predator polymags. i believe with a head shot it would be possible to cleaning dispatch beavers and after being dispatched all that would have to be done is hook them with a lure if they were to sink.
any ideas or advice?
