Our beloved chairman in the EDP today (is he Tommy Taylor in disguise).
"We need another proven striker alongside Danny Bloomfield, but those sort of players are the hardest to find and then you have a devil of a job to prise them away from other clubs.
"It's no secret we went in for Paul Booth during the summer, but we were simply outmuscled - that's a fact of life in football. If you look at the package it would've taken to bring him here it just wasn't a viable option, but we are still looking to bring in a quality striker."
We knew we needed another quality striker as soon as Darran Hay left in May so why didn't the board and the manager push the boat out and do something about it?
Perhaps if they had we would have still been in both cups and top of the table by now.
