As for the other, Hemp is the industrial crop, Marijuana is it's psycoactive cousin. They are similar in appearance, but Pot is darker green and bushier and the flowerd areas are much denser than Hemp. From above and at groound level it's easy to tell them apart. Also, bercause Hemp is less bushy you can grow it closer together than a Pot grower would. The conflation of pot and Hemp has been a real headache for decades. (A headache is all you would ge if you smoked an acre of Hemp)
We import tons of hemp material and oil into this country for processing but we can't grow it. It's bullshit, and more and more people are seeing it. I suggest that everyone look at www.votehemp.com and see about getting bills started in your state. Hint: the Democrats are much more receptive to this than Republicans, seeing as how it helps the people and not necessarily the corporations.
The problems of using used veggie oil for fuel have nothing to do with the heat it has been subjected to. It's obvious to all that particles must be filtered out, and that large water droplets must be allowed to settle, but the real problem is suspended water that is of a perticle size so small that it will not settle and can not be filtered. Such moisture will cavitate in the injection pump under pressure and create pits on the pump surfaces that shorten the pump life. There are many methods of removing moisture such as this but it all starts with getting oil that has the least amount of it.
Aisan restaurants end up with less moisture in the oil than fast food joints because there are less animal fats and less frozen food cooked.
What I do is let gathered oil settle for weeks and filter through three filters. 709 micron, 30 micron and 10 micron. Then I let it settle some more, because when you get out a lot of the dirt particles that moisture clings to the moisture is free to drop. When I wanna use some, I pump it into the tank through a 1 micron filter. There is also a 10 micron filter with water trap in the truck. Is that enough? I really don't know. Some say yes, some say no. Some actually do scientific analysis, so look for that.
There are many techniques for drying oil with heat and for filtering as well as making biodiesel. Here are some links for very good forums:

"Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered… What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly: it is dearness only that gives every thing its value. Heaven knows how to put a proper price upon its goods; and it would be strange indeed if so celestial an article as FREEDOM should not be highly rated."
