Response to Marshall Amps on a Beatles Record?

I spent several hours looking that up last night...perhaps more than several. The general expert concensus is that the Beatles never used Marshall amps (or a Hiwatt or an Orange). I kinda find this hard to believe since those guys were known use use what ever was laying about in the studio on any particular day to try to get a new sound on vinyl. I can't imagine there was never a Bluesbreaker around...it was a popular amp in England in the mid 60's.

Good point to bring up the Clapton influence...also I understand that Jimmy Page and McCartney were hanging out together. Page lived fairly near the studios and he was one of the top session guitarist of the time. I wonder if Page is actualy playing on some of those tracks, and what equipment he might be using. I dont think credit would ever be given or asked for. It's common knowledge that they were gob smacked by Hendrix...Somewhere I have a BBC recording of him at the Marquee Club doing Hey Joe with a Marshall stack behind him. I don't think any of this was lost on the Beatles. Still the experts say no Marshall amps on Beatle recordings.

If you have ever seen the Stones' Rock and Roll Circus...Clapton, Lennon and Richards are all on Fender amps. I prefer the Circus version of Yer Blues to the White Album recording. It's gritter and a bit more frantic IMHO, but the sound is there. Clapton sounds like Clapton no matter what he plays. If I closed my eyes and just listened and you said it was a Bluesbreaker he was playing I wouldn't argue. I think it's all Fenders in the Let It Be album at least thats what the movie shows. I'm scratching my head over the Lennons' Plastic Ono Band era cause I dun have a clue. I love the sound of Live Peace Toronto but I have no idea what amps were used, gotta remember to look into that.

Are there any tracks than than the one you mentioned that sound like a Marshall to you??
