What I got

The cabinets are about 4 cu. ft. inside volume. Crossover brand unknown. Baffling/stiffening probably insufficient.

I can afford new stuff (I couldn't buy $1600 in groceries but I can justify good sound).

To repair infinity's off brand replacement cones run about to $100 ea. Thought maybe I'd buy some cones and put these and put in shop with my old hk citation stuff. A little afraid to put new speakers in reach of my 15 year old at this point though.

I listened to the jbl's before I bought the infinity's (maybe 4628's), only money stopped me. I was a fool and traded some altec lansings for furniture. The furniture was crap, the speakers remain a good memory.
