| You bet it's got some spank. It always was a pretty good sounding amp but this swap seems to make it even better for Robby's needs. He likes an amp that hits hard right now when he gets on it and plays a note and it does that in a great way.
I will check the supply and make sure it's wired correctly. I've never checked that and the amp was totally and completely original when he bought it for $99 about 10 years ago. Was that a problem on some of these amps? It has never been hard on tubes or much of anything really it's been a pretty good amp. I did have to make a few little wood blocks to help to support the board in the amp to keep it from flexing but that's about all I've ever had to repair.
