Response to double check my math please

...with what little I know.

I just went through the same thing: looking for a 1000 low pass passive crossover for some new 15's in my Altecs. This is for our live PA and I was trying to help the Mains Amp work more efficiently and also keep some ridiculous lows (created by the other band members) out of the upper cabs, all the while maintaining a "full-range" system (hence, looking for 1000 x-overs and not subs for the 15's). The Altec's are used in conjuncton with some old Peavey cabs, each of which house a 10-inch, 8-inch, and three Motorola tweeters. I didn't find what I wanted, but I didn't look real hard for those 1000 crossovers, either.

Ultmately, I ended up going with a 150 low pass sub crossover for the Altec's (the upper cabs are full range and not set up like yours). It ought to work fine in our case and resolve the primary issue of those poor upper cabs being subjected to such rattling lows....and also offer some improved definition in the process.

I did come accross some Eminence 500 low pass boards. Below is a link to webpage from which you can navigate into Pro Audio, Home Audio, etc. Hope you find what you're looking for, or you can always make your own.
