Speaker Distortion

It seems odd to me that they could be distorting with that small amount of power. Do they sound ok with another amp? I've had speakers damaged in shipment before. I bought an Ampeg combo off of some guy on E-Bay and when it arrived the box had been dropped and both speakers were locked up tight. Looking at the magnets you could see where they were slipped out of position by the impact and this locked the voice coil and ruined the speakers.
