It's only been three months since I picked up the guitar again after a 30 year break and I've already broken the promise I made to myself. I told myself I would only have one guitar and one amp. Well, this morning I bought off ebay a 1972 Traynor YRM-1 Reberb Master head. Since I already have the Ceriatone the Traynor now makes two.

When I was playing in the early 70's my best friend used a Traynor and a few local bands had them. At that time I was a Fender guy with a Bandmaster and Superreverb, but I always like the tone of the Traynor amps. Well, this is a nostalgia purchase and better be the last piece of music gear for a while.

It hasn't been re-capped so I'll take care of that and put in some new tubes. It's a 50 watt head and what I really like is that this model has the master gain control. These amps are very similar in design to the Marshall Plexi. I don't have, nor do I want (at this point), a speaker cab. I'll drive the 2X10" Webbers in my Ceriatone. That will work since I only play at home. The Webbers are only 35W speakers so I can't get too carried way.
