I remember seeing him playing upside down on Carson.
Liberty has never come from the government.
Liberty has always come from the subjects of it.
The history of liberty is a history of resistance.
The history of liberty is a history of the limitation of governmental power, not the increase of it.

I played drums in high school, while the rest of the band was playing scales and tuning their instruments, we worked on who could play "wipeout" on the snare drum.
Needless to say, I was a far better welder in HS then I ever was at drumming. Maybe if I'd watched Carson instead of working out in the garage all night, I might have been more inspired.
I watched a bunch of those you-tube clips- Can you imagine throwing sticks around like that; night after night, show after show?
wipeout: watch toward the end- 1 handed wipeout! amazeing!
Some other classic Shrieve drumming....Santana doing "Soul Sacrifice" at Woodstock when Shrieve was only 17, I believe. Nothin' like playing to 400,000 people (or so) when yer still in high school.
I think Sir Paul was right, todays Rock Music is boring, How much time do you think those cats back in the 70's spent working out those solos and then putting it all together to perform?
Then a Lita Ford -"Lisa" link popped up! I had forgotten what a great guitarist she was, I was always looking at her "other features"
Holy shit, Lita can play.
If you want eyecandy and guitar try Lita's "Kiss me Deadly"
If this tour down the you-tube music memories continues, I'm gonna have to invest in a better sound card and speakers. Any suggestions?
I've got a Creative Labs Audigy which ain't too bad, for a computer card. Speakers? Ya got me....I have old Altecs which were nice at the time....getting ragged now. I hear good things about the high-end (on a computer? high-end audio? kind of a contradiction...) Altec & Klipsch systems, but that's some major $$$.
That piano player is Gregg Rolie. Had a great start as vocalist/keyboardist for Santana, a leading role... then went to Journey & gradually faded into the background. By the time they hit "superstar" level around 1980-82 he left. He always looked kind of pained to be there, like he felt he'd sold out or something.
I've been pretty drunk, and in the bad old days, under chemical influence, occasionally...but somehow I never got the jones to dance naked in front of a crowd while holding a sheep. :-^
Putting THAT aside, Shrieve's drumming is cool, & the whole song gets under your skin. Try it while long-distance driving sometime, at ear-shattering volume.
