I need help if you can give it....

I got a new puppy from our animal shelter nearby and she has a problem. Even though I know she is teething, she keeps biting me...not her toy. Now I have a couple of scratches on my arms and feet.
My friend has a bunch of German Shepard puppies and said to stick the toy in her mouth every time she tries to bite me but it doesn't work.
Can anybody help me? I'll take any idea you have.
